Obituary of Sandra C. Tennant

Sandra C. Tennant Olean, NY Sandra C. Tennant, 61, formerly of Dugan Rd., passed away Wednesday (November 1, 2023) at The Pines of Olean after battling a chronic illness. Born May 6, 1962 in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. Wilkins and Patricia A. Thompson Piccirillo. She was formerly married to Anthony Tennant for 14 years who survives. Sandra was a graduate of Allegany Central School. In 1986 she enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 20 years, mostly as an intelligence analyst. She served a tour of duty in Kuwait during the Gulf War and retired in 2006 with the rank of Tech Sergeant E6. She enjoyed her time after retirement by spending it with her daughter Alison, as well as taking occasional trips to the casino. She leaves behind a daughter Alison Tennant of Fredonia; 7 siblings Dan Wilkins of Olean, Alesia (Dennis) Gilman of Little Valley, Perry Wilkins of Olean, Kevin (Sherry) Wilkins of Seminole, FL, Bradley (Joy) Wilkins of Cummings, GA, Ron (Isa) Wilkins of Franklinville, and John (Britany) Wilkins of Great Valley, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday (November 8, 2023) from 11:30-1pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. Beginning at 1pm there will be military honors by the Allegany American Legion Ritual Team, followed by a funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. View Cemetery next to her mother.
