Obituary of William F. Griffith

William F. Griffith Olean, NY William F. Griffith, 82, of 301 W. Henley St. passed away Sunday (October 22, 2023) at the Olean General Hospital, after a long illness. Born October 24, 1940 in Humphrey, he was the son of Roy J. and Dorothy M. Chapman Griffith. He was first married to Leola Griffith who predeceased him. He later married Sandra Budinger who survives. William lived and worked primarily in New York State. He was employed several years for the former Sterling Furniture Co. in Jamestown. He also worked for the railroad. He and his wife Sandra lived in Florida for a period of time where he was employed for a nursing home in its maintenance department. He loved to fish and be with his family. He was also a great fan of the Buffalo Bills. He and his wife loved to travel together as well. He leaves behind his wife Sandra; his children William (Kendra) Griffith, Brian (Amie) Griffith, Keith (Darlene) Snyder, Larry (Amber) Snyder, Tammy Snyder, Tracy Snyder, Billy Joe (Amanda) Snyder; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Benjamin Griffith; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark (Lisa) Budinger; a sister-in-law Darlene Lee; his loving Jamestown family, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Leola; 2 sons Wayne Griffith, and John Griffith; 2 brothers Leo Hadley, and Roy Griffith, and 2 sisters Myrtle Carr, and Mildred Reagle. No formal services are being scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
