Obituary of C. Curtis Richard

C. Curtis Richard Allegany, NY C. Curtis Richard, 81, of the Four Mile Rd., passed away at his home on Tuesday (February 14, 2023). Born June 21, 1941 in Buffalo, he was a son of Howard E. and Dorothy Frohe Richard. Curtis was a graduate of Williamsville High School and later graduated from SUNY Morrisville in Eaton. He moved to the Olean area and later resided in Allegany. He purchased the Alle-Catt Asphalt Co. in Allegany and operated it for 20 years until he sold it in 1998. Curtis was an avid golfer and was a former president of the Bartlett Country Club as well as a former member of the Birch Run Country Club. He leaves behind 2 sons Timothy (Kim Howard) Richard of Allegany and Douglas (Jill Boren) of Raleigh, NC; 2 grandsons Bryant (Elizabeth Perez) Richard and Nicholas Richard; 2 great grandchildren Mateo and Allyanna; 1 sister Wendy (Greg) Rogers, and nieces and nephews. The family will gather for a memorial visitation on Friday (February 17, 2023) from 5-7pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A private burial will take place at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
