Obituary of Teresa L. Riehle

Teresa L. Riehle Olean, NY Teresa L. Riehle, 61, of Olean, passed away Monday (February 14, 2022) at her home, surrounded by her family. Born April 4, 1960 in Pittsboro, NC she was the daughter of Bobby Creed and JoAnn Lewis. On November 18, 1978 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean she married Gary S. Riehle who survives. Teresa was a graduate of Olean High School and enjoyed working for the YMCA’s Early Childhood Development Center caring for her babies. She was very family-oriented and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, and those trips almost always led her and her family to the ocean where she could spend time on the beach. She also enjoyed local trips to the casino. She is survived by her loving husband Gary; her mother JoAnn Lewis of Palmyra; 3 children Nicholas (Heather) Riehle, Nathan (Jennifer) Riehle and Nolan Riehle, all of Olean; 10 grandchildren Mason, Jaedyn, Addy, Amya, Brysen, Brady, Hannah, Kolston, Charlotte and Mikayla; 4 brothers and sisters Sherry (Alan) Moat of Braselton, GA, Rodney (Julie) Creed of Olean, Corey (Becky) Creed of Eldred, PA and Greg (Nicole) Lewis of Palmyra and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Bobby; a brother Chad Creed; a sister Charleen Rowand and her stepfather George Lewis. The family welcomes friends to a memorial visitation on Friday (February 18, 2022) from 1-3pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A memorial service will follow at 3pm in the funeral home. Rev. Carrie Wolfe, assistant pastor at Christ United Methodist Church in Olean, will officiate. A reception will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall.
