Obituary of Nathan E. Shorter

OLEAN - Nathan E. Shorter, 37, of Olean, passed away Monday (Jan. 24, 2022) at Olean General Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born April 6, 1984, in Olean, he was the son of Eugene Lawrence and Marcie K. Shorter, both of whom survive.
Nathan enjoyed taking pictures and watching cartoons. He was also fascinated with trucks and watching washing machines operate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Eugene Lawrence, Desmond Lawrence, Thurston Lawrence, Ezekiel Lawrence, Morgan Lawrence, Laura Lawrence and Michael Rowland; his aunts and uncles, Jerri Williams, Beilah (Tara) Ramadhan, Aben (April) Ramadhan, Khaleiah Ramadhan, Brian (Ra'chelle) Ramadhan and Derrick Shoup.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ruthie Shorter, Muhummed Ramadhan, Gerald Shorter and Shirrie Williams.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 5, 2022) at the Epic Church, 411 W. Henley St., Olean. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
