Janice E. Work Great Valley, NY Janice E. Work of Bear Hollow, passed away Monday (January 3, 2022) after a sudden illness. Born January 10, 1951 in Salamanca, she was the daughter of Lester A. and Marian A. Curtis Fedick. On April 21, 1973 in Bear Hollow, she married Glenn R. Work who predeceased her May 12, 2019. Janice was a 1969 graduate of Ellicottville Central School. She enjoyed being a homemaker, having cats and bunnies for pets, feeding the birds, and flower gardening. She was a very good seamstress, played the piano, and enjoyed photography, especially taking nature photos. She is survived by 3 siblings, Bonnie (Bryon) Keech of Bradford, PA, Dale (Jacalyn) Fedick of Olean and Melody (John) Shipley of Clarence; 1 niece Kristen Fedick; 1 aunt Connie Fedick of Great Valley and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends will be received on Saturday (January 8, 2021) from 10am until 11am at the Allegany Baptist Church, 3236 Maple Ave., Allegany. A funeral service will begin at 11am in the church, presided over by Ward Near. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery, Great Valley. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Baptist Church, 3236 Maple Ave., Allegany, NY 14706, or to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 1644 Olean-Hinsdale Rd., Olean, NY 14760. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
