ELSIE O. INGALLS OLEAN - Elsie O. Ingalls, a resident of Eden Heights, died Saturday May 22, 2004 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Olean on May 23, 1912 she was a daughter of Albin and Hilda Johnson Tenglund. On September 20, 1930 in Olean she married Coy D. Ingalls who predeceased her November 8, 1984. Mrs. Ingalls was a member of the St. Stephen's Club and was a past Governess of the Moose. Club. She was employed at St. Francis Hospital for many years prior to her retirement. Elsie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by one daughter, Winifred (Robert) Johnson of Hinsdale, NY; two sons Gerald (Judy) Ingalls of Portville and Robert (Michaelene) Ingalls of Olean; three sisters, Ruth Bender of Allegany, Violet Lampe and Eva (Norm) Carlson, both of Olean, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a brother Albert Tenglund and two sisters, Eleanor O'Connor and Svea Williams. Friends will be received on Monday (May 24, 2004) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral and committal services will be conducted on Tuesday (May 25, 2004) at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Goode, Chaplain at the Olean General Hospital will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
