MARGARET M. BLAKE OLEAN – Margaret M. Blake, formerly of Indiana Avenue died Friday July 2, 2004 at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean Campus. Born in Nunda, NY on June 11, 1907 she was the daughter of Melvin and Amanda Rounds Whitcher. In 1925 she married !McKinley Blake who predeceased her in 1958. Mrs. Blake enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by two sons !LeRoy (Betty) Blake of Cuba and Paul (Linda) Blake of Portville; two daughters Alice Fye of Olean and Elsie (Robert) Watkins of Tucson, AZ; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul Whitcher of Olean. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three children, Virginia Price, !McKinley Blake and Arthur Blake; five brothers William Whitcher, John Whitcher, Jewell Whitcher, Melvin Whitcher and Alfred Whitcher. Friends will be received today (July 5, 2004) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd, Olean where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday (July 6, 2004) at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
