Dale A. Colley
LUBBOCK, Texas — Dale A. Colley of Lubbock, formerly of Allegany, N.Y., passed away April 18, 2018, unexpectedly at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1950, in Allegany, he was the son of the late Charles and Belva Phearsdorf Colley Jr.
He was a 1969 graduate of Allegany Central School.
After moving to Lubbock, he met and married Dianna Hammock, who predeceased him July 22, 2009.
Dale and his wife started a business called Emerald City in Lubbock and operated it for 16 years. After closing it, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by two brothers, David (Merry) Colley of Buckeye, Ariz. and Dana (Lynn) Colley of Allegany; one sister, Dolores (George) Cole of Lewis Run, Pa.; an aunt Ruby Skroback of Allegany; a special aunt, Barbara Chadwell of Littlefield, Texas; an uncle, Orlando Arlia of Cleveland, Ohio; three nephews, Joseph (Sarah) Henneman of Allegany, John (Tracy) Droney of Waterloo and Paul (Lisa) Price of Starke, Fla.; several cousins, including Denise Skroback of Allegany and Lonnie Arlia of Cleveland; and two special friends, Jerry (Barb) Stevenson and David (Kathy) Boser, both of Allegany.
He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Diann Colley and Darlene Henneman; one brother, Donald Colley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial graveside service for Dale and his wife Dianna on Saturday (May 12, 2018) at 2pm in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
