Helen M. Meridan
Olean, NY-- Helen M. Meridan, formerly of North Tenth Street died Saturday (September 25, 2004) in The Waters of Allegany.
Born January 16, 1909 in Allegany she was the daughter of Jacob and Teresa Messer Meridan.
Miss Meridan was a graduate of Allegany High School and of St. Elizabeth Academy. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church, and was a former member of the Bartlett Country Club and the Moose Lodge of Port Allegany.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by a sister Hildegard Meridan and two brothers Clement Meridan and Ernest Meridan.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (September 29, 2004) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church.
