Janice L. Cimino

Olean, NY     Janice L. Cimino, 81, recently of Olean and a former longtime resident of Galeton, PA passed away peacefully Monday (January 29, 2018) in her home, after a short illness.

Born April 3, 1936 in Long Beach, CA she was the daughter of Louis and Lenore Heuser Fitzgerald.  On April 12, 1958 in Galeton she married Edward Cimino who survives.

Mrs. Cimino was a 1954 graduate of Galeton High School and lived and worked there most of her life.  She retired after being employed for many years as an executive secretary for the office of the Commissioner of the Potter County courthouse.

Surviving besides her husband of 60 years are a son John (Natalie) Cimino of Hartford, WI; a daughter Susan (Steve) Barnard of Olean; 6 grandchildren Jonathan, Eric and Gabriella Cimino and Matthew, Christopher and Michael Barnard; a great grandson Alex Barnard and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Tony Fitzgerald.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery in Galeton.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
