Obituary of Patricia A. Suhr

Patricia A. Suhr "loving wife and mother" Allegany, NY-- Patricia A. Suhr of 3974 Rte 417 Lot 102 died Saturday (October 16, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital. Born April 1, 1928 in Clearfield, PA she was the daughter of William and Margaret Owens Malloy. On October 27, 1949 in Detroit, MI she married Robert C. Suhr who survives. Mrs. Suhr was a graduate of Mt. Mercy Academy in Buffalo and also received her RN degree from Alfred University. She resided in Hamburg, NY for 15 years and worked as an RN for Mt. Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. She then lived in Olean for 20 years and was employed at the former St. Francis Hospital and later as a nurse at St. Bonaventure University until her retirement in 1988. She resided in Eldred, PA for 5 years prior to moving to Allegany in 2000. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother who also loved her miniature poodle "Maggie". Surviving besides her husband are three children Michael (Amy) Suhr of Griffin, GA, Mary (Tony) Fusco of Eldred, PA and Cathy (Todd) Clifford of Dothan, AL; 6 grandchildren; three brothers Jerry (Ginny) Malloy of Hamburg, William (Barbara) Malloy of Angola and Joseph (Nancy) Malloy of Niagara Falls; one sister Margie Caron of Hamburg and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sons Robert Suhr, David Suhr and Joseph Suhr. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass which will be held in St. Bonaventure Church on Wednesday (October 20, 2004) at 10:00am. Fr. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Clearfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
