Ronald R. Wedlock
Allegany, NY Ronald R. Wedlock, 71, of 4112 W. Branch Rd. passed away Thursday (June 8, 2017) at Olean General Hospital after a chronic illness.
Born August 25, 1945 in Olean he was the son of Raymond and Teresa Mohr Wedlock. On June 7, 1969 in Allegany he married Carol A. Sandburg who predeceased him August 6, 1995.
Mr. Wedlock was a graduate of Olean High School and later served with the US Army. He worked for over 40 years for Dresser Rand in Olean prior to his retirement.
He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the NRA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed membership in the Olean Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed model trains, coin collecting and woodworking.
Surviving are a son Jason (Sarah Schummer) Wedlock of Allegany; 2 grandchildren Juniper and Djanjo Wedlock; 3 sisters Barbara (Ed) Burroughs of Hickory, NC, Carol Wilson of Portville and Mary (Rick) Manzone of Springville and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. The funeral will be held Monday (June 12, 2017) beginning with a prayer service at 9am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
