Obituary of Anna Mae Wenzel

Allegany- Anna Mae Wenzel, of 169 N. 2^nd Allegany, passed away Wednesday June 7, 2017 at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Olean.

Born January 30, 1923 in Olean, she was the daughter of Arthur J. and Annie Welsh Yehl. She married Arthur J. Wenzel on October 3, 1942, who predeceased her.

Mrs. Wenzel was a graduate of Allegany Central School. In 1975, she moved to Largo, Florida, returning to Allegany in 2005. She was a member of the Largo Elks Lodge in Largo, Florida, St. Bonaventure Church and the Allegany Engine Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are three grandchildren, who were her great joy; William Wenzel, Patricia Melton, and Tammy Restor; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Marion Yehl and Maggie Yehl; daughter -in- law Linda (John) Wenzel; several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons John and Ronald; one sister Marion Atcheson; and her brothers Arthur T. Yehl, Robert Yehl, Emil Yehl, Thomas Yehl, and Joseph Yehl.

There will be no services for Mrs. Wenzel. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorials if desired may be made to The ReHabilitation Center, 1439 Buffalo Road, Olean, NY 14760.
