Clara V. Mohr "devoted wife, mother, grandmother" Allegany, NY-- Clara V. Mohr of the West Five Mile Rd. died peacefully Monday (October 25, 2004) in her home. Born November 21, 1913 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of Anthony F. and Victoria Jarosc Siperek. In El Paso, TX she married Edwin J. Mohr who predeceased her July 6, 1993. Mrs. Mohr was a graduate of Salamanca High School and had resided in Allegany most of her life. She had been employed as a waitress at the former Castle Restaurant and the former Holiday Inn. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and volunteered at the Allegany Public Library, the Genesis House and the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home. She will be remembered as a person who was devoted to her family, had a great sense of humor and held a positive outlook on life. Surviving are one daughter Diane (Robert) Harkness of Dryden; two sons John (Debbie) Mohr of Allegany and Frank Mohr of Burlington, WY; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by one brother Raymond Siperek and one sister Frances Armstrong. At Mrs. Mohr’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Friends are invited to attend a service of celebration Saturday (October 30, 2004) at 11:00am at the mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Bonaventure Church or to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
