DAVID HARVEY PHILLIPS HINSDALE - David H. Phillips of Hinsdale died Wednesday October 27, 2004 at his residence. Born in Collins Center, NY on January 6, 1937 he was the son of Wesley and Alice Wittman Phillips. On April 7, 1956 he married Marjorie M. Bierman who survives. David was as a dairy farmer for many years in Collins Center and Otto. He later worked as a truck driver prior to his retirement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James (Donna) Phillips of Bishop, GA and Mark (Evelyn) Phillips of Gambrills, MD; two daughters, Susan (Ralph) Brinks of Olean and Mary (Jeff) Spaulding of Ellicottville; nine grandchildren, Beau and Matthew Phillips, John Brinks, Amanda, Josh and Alissa Spaulding and David, Michael and Nathan Phillips; one sister, Marjorie Spencer and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Thursday October 28, 2004 from 7-9 and on Friday (October 29) from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ellicottville at 11:00 AM. Rev. William Kay, pastor will officiate. Burial and committal services will follow at Collins Center Cemetery, Collins Center, NY. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
