Olean- Jeffrey S. Bentley of 317 N. 12th Street, passed away peacefully Monday (July 11, 2016) after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 31, 1964 in Dansville, he was the son of Ward and Arlene Perry Bentley. On November 14, 1997 in Olean, he married Susan Davis, who survives.
Mr. Bentley was a self employed contractor. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, going to the State Parks, spending time outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Brittany L. Bentley of Portville, Shane E. Bentley at home; his parents; one grandson Aedan R. Gelder; two sisters Cinda Bentley of Lakeland FL., Karla Bentley of Upland, IN; his step-mother Jan Bentley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; including a special niece Constance (Roy) Reger.
He was predeceased by one brother Christopher James Bentley; one sister Sondra Jane Bentley; and his step-father Paul Linderman.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, on Monday (July 18, 2016) from 4-6pm, at which time a memorial service will begin.
