Obituary of Dorothy A. Bartlett

Dorothy A. Bartlett Olean, NY Dorothy A. Bartlett, a former longtime resident of 1305 1/2 W. State St. passed away Tuesday (June 21, 2016) at the Highland Health Care Center in Wellsville. Dorothy was born December 7, 1936 in Shinglehouse, PA. Her father was Raymond James and her mother was Emma Puff Broeckel. She was formerly married to Arvis Bellamy and together they had six children prior to their divorce. She resided in Olean most of her life and worked for several years for the former Olean Tile Co. She enjoyed roller-skating and painting pottery. She also liked to sing as well as listen to country music. Surviving are her six children Bonnie (Dale Rathbun) Bellamy of Hinsdale, Barbara Eck of Wellsville, Arvis Bellamy of Hinsdale, Jeff Bellamy of Cuba, Ann (Scott) Pequeen of Oklahoma and Penny (Eric Wagner) Bellamy of Allegany; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 brother William (Kathy) James of Hinsdale; 1 sister Karen (David) Troutman of Portville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; 3 brothers Ernest, Jerry and Raymond James and 2 sisters Cindy Williams and Shirley Richardson. No services are being scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
