Obituary of Kathryn M. Holtz

Kathryn M. Holtz Olean, NY Kathryn M. Holtz of Olean passed away peacefully Sunday (April 24, 2016) at her home. Born July 30, 1938 in Wellsville she was the daughter of Crayton W. and Reba H. Lee. On September 23, 1963 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany she married Floyd H. "Fuzzy" Holtz who predeceased her March 4, 2015. Kathryn was employed by various businesses over the years in addition to raising her family. She worked at the former Castle Restaurant, St. Joseph's Manor, AVX Corp, as a housekeeper and baby-sitting and as a cook at the former Allegany Truck Stop. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olean and enjoyed crocheting, reading and going to church. Surviving are a daughter Laura M. Holtz of Olean; a son Robert (Jane Depp) Holtz of Portville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 sister Beatrice Hollobaugh of Kersey, PA; 3 brothers Robert (Pat) Lee of Paragould, AK, John (Hilda) Lee of Titusville, PA and Crayton (Ricky) Lee of Girard, OH; several nieces and nephews; Billy Sterling whom she loved like a son and a special niece Reba Haight whom she loved and called her #2 daughter. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Gerald L. Holtz and 3 sisters Avilda Holtz, Margaret Cuneo and Helen Eisloffel. Friends will be received on Saturday (April 30, 2016) from noon to 2pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 2pm. Rev. Derek Cheek, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
