Obituary of Orren H. Brace

Olean, NY Orren H. Brace, 77, of 1443 Olean-Portville Rd. passed away Wednesday (April 6, 2016) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a brief stay. Born March 12, 1939 in Hazelhurst, PA he was the son of Henry and Mary Louise Himes Brace. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Louella Woods. Mr. Brace was a drywall finisher for most of his working life prior to retirement. He was a hard-working man, dedicated to his family and he especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved to hunt, trap and play pool. Surviving besides his wife are 3 children Orren Brace, Jr., Sherry Brace and Chansea Brace; 2 stepchildren Fred George and Bobbi George; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 2 brothers David Brace and Ron Brace and a sister Jerry. He was predeceased by 2 daughters Roxanne Glauser and Debbie Smith. Family and friends will gather for a funeral service on Monday (April 11, 2016) at 11:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Gerald Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray funeral costs may be directed to the funeral home.
