Obituary of Debra Knight

Debra A. Knight Bolivar, NY Debra A. Knight, 59, of 68 Liberty St. passed away Thursday (November 13, 2014) shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. Born November 26, 1954 in Olean she was the daughter of Eldon and Audrey Burlingame Hewitt. On July 10, 1971 in Olean she married Fredrick N. Knight, Sr. who survives. Debra attended the West Clarksville rural school and later Richburg Central School. While primarily a homemaker most of her life, she worked for a while for Burns Security in Olean as a security guard. She was a wonderful mother and wife who provided the greatest and strongest love and guidance for her family. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and camping. She had attended the Southside Union Chapel in Olean. Surviving besides her husband are five children Crystal Knight and Wendy Knight, both of Richburg, Fredrick (Teresa) Knight, Jr. of Bradford, PA, Shannon Knight of Farmington and Kelly Knight of Bolivar; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother Cliff (Laurie) Hewitt of Portville; two sisters Paula (Robert) Doxey of Portville and Marcia (Todd) Metz of Richburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Gayla Arlia. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (November 18, 2014) at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
