Obituary of Lynn L. Bushnell

Lynn L. Bushnell Olean, NY-- Lynn L. Bushnell of 113 N. 6th St. died Saturday (December 25, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital after a brief illness. Born July 19, 1920 in James City, PA he was the son of Lynn L. and Lula I. Bushnell. On October 4, 1940 in Great Valley, NY he married Eleanor J. Southwick who predeceased him October 26, 1999. Mr. Bushnell attended Ten Broek Academy in Franklinville was a lifelong resident of Olean. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army Air Corps. He had been employed for Dresser Clark Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his home. Surviving are 4 sons Robert (Sally) Bushnell of Olean, Lynn (Jean) Bushnell of Denver, CO, Craig Bushnell of Olean and Thomas (Jean) Bushnell of Wapakoneta, OH; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by 4 brothers Merle Bushnell, Alvin Bushnell, Vernon Bushnell and infant Frank Bushnell. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
