Obituary of Linda Shea

Linda L. Shea Olean- Linda L. Shea of 1505 North Union St., passed away Tuesday (October 7, 2014) at the Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born June 22, 1939 in Olean, she was the daughter of Virgil Benjamin and Cora Rinehults Chalker, Sr. She married Kevin Shea in 1969, he predeceased her on February 2, 1994. Mrs. Shea owned and operated the former Carrolls Restaurant in Olean for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing fantasy football, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are six children Lance (Tracy) Jobe of Allegany, Julie Jobe of Lewiston, Kim Jobe Edel of Lewiston, Lisa Jobe of Olean, Sean (Shari) Jobe of Portville and Heather (Hector) Shea-Martinez of Allegany; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters Judy (Ron) Warner of Portville and Suellen (Jim) Clancy of Portville; R. Scott Johns of Olean, whom she loved like a son and several nieces and nephews, including her beloved nephew Chuckie Evingham of Cheektowaga. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one son Robert Mark Jobe and one brother Virgil Benjamin "Corky" Chalker, Jr. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service which will be held on Friday (October 10, 2014) at 11:30am at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. James Vacco, OFM will officiate.
