Madeline M. Miller “lived for her family” Olean, NY-- Madeline M. Miller of 317 N. 19th St. died Friday (December 31, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital after a brief illness. Born October 13, 1931 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Mario and Mary Berds Favro. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of Olean and she had been employed by Alcas Cutlery in Olean for almost 30 years prior to her retirement in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and she enjoyed taking care of her home and family. Surviving are 5 sons Joseph Miller, Tim Miller, Kevin (Linda) Miller and Toby Miller, all of Olean and Ed (Monica) Miller of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren; 2 sisters Esther Williams of Niagara Falls, NY and Paula (Ray) Pikulski of Sarasota, FL; 1 brother Edward (Judy) Favro of Palm Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 1 brother Merle Favro. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Monday (January 3, 2005) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church.
