Frank O. Williams, Sr.
Olean, NY Frank O. Williams, Sr. of 203 S. 16th St. passed away Monday (June 9, 2014) at Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a long illness.
Born September 15, 1928 in Franklinville he was the son of Marshall and Margaret Foote Williams. On October 14, 1978 at the Allegany Baptist Church he married Jane Moody Stuckey who survives.
Mr. Williams attended Hinsdale Central School and later enlisted in the US Navy where he served from 1950 to 1954, doing tours of duty in Korea and Pearl Harbor.
He had been employed for the City of Olean Fire Department for 28 years, retiring as Captain in 1984. He also worked part time for Sears & Roebuck Co. in Olean as a technician from 1972 until 1989. He recently had been attending Believer's Chapel in Allegany.
Surviving besides his wife are 1 son Frank Williams, Jr. of Olean; 3 daughters Cynthia Wilson of Allegany and Cathy Stuckey and Pamela Stuckey, both of Olean; 3 grandchildren Elizabeth (George) Wallace, Geoffrey Wilson and Bradley Stuckey; 9 great grandchildren McKenzie, Toby and Terrance Wallace; Jaelyn and Zaeleigh Wilson and Brooke, Aubrielle and Madelyn Stuckey; 5 brothers and sisters James (Lois) Williams of Olean, Charlotte Bradley of Gulfport, MS, Nancy (Howard) Converse of Franklinville, Arlene (Jim) Chamberlain of Pasadena, CA and Jerry Williams of Hinsdale and many nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Williams request, visitation and funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials if desired may be made to the Cuba Memorial Hospital or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
