Frank E. Lemon Allegany, NY Frank E. Lemon of 4742 S. Nine Mile Rd. passed away Saturday (January 25, 2014) at the Buffalo General Hospital. Born December 24, 1931 in Olean he was the son of Fred and Bertha Warrier Lemon. He was first married to Ellen Dibble Boser who predeceased him in 1973. In 1978 in Blasdell he married Lorraine M. Phillips Benware who survives. Mr. Lemon was a veteran of the US Marines having served during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He had been employed for thirty four years for the Ford Motor Co. in Blasdell prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 and recently attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany. He enjoyed working outside and taking care of his property and he also enjoyed woodworking at an earlier age. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters Debra Koch and Franki Lemon, both of Lackawanna; three grandchildren John and Sam Koch and Kayla Anderson; seven step children; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; two brothers Robert (Mary) Lemon and Ronald Lemon, both of Allegany; one sister Helen Monroe of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Calvin Lemon and two sisters Winifred Stier and Lucille Neporadny Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (January 29, 2014) at noon in the funeral home. Rev. Dan Buringrud, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Ritual Team at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Allegany American Legion.
