Obituary of Eloyce Augustine Marsh

Jamestown- Eloyce (Loy) Augustine Marsh, of 45 Chambers Street, Jamestown and a longtime Allegany and Bradford resident, passed away Monday (January 6, 2014) at WCA Hospital in Jamestown.
Born October 5, 1921 in Corwith, Iowa she was the daughter of John and Ethel Burdick Grey. In 1941,in Jamestown, she married Professor Thomas A. Augustine who predeceased her in 1973. She later married Wayne Marsh in Olean in 1978, who predeceased her in 2002.
Mrs. Marsh was a graduate of Jamestown High School. She was a devoted and caring mom to her seven children and later worked for the United Way in Olean when her children were older.
Surviving are her six children Dr. Thomas (Christine) Augustine, Jr. of East Aurora, Eloyce (Bill) Bate of Reston, VA, Dr. Timothy (Susanne) Augustine of East Aurora, Kathleen Augustine of Jamestown, Mary Beth Augustine of Jamestown, Gina (Dick) Tojek of Rochester, PA; ten step-children David (Kris) Marsh of Bradford, PA, Paula Butler of Bradford, PA, Audrey Marsh of Pelham, NH, Barb Marsh of Bradford, PA, Tom Marsh of Bradford, PA, Carrie Abrams of Bradford, PA, Janet Wesmiller of Bradford, PA, Ken Marsh of Bradford, PA, Sally (Mike) Sposato of Jamestown, Robert (Marsha) Marsh of Bradford, PA; thirty- one grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of her husbands she was predeceased by one daughter Rosemary Havers, four brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home on Saturday (January 11, 2014) from 9:30am-10:30am at which time a prayer service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
