Ronald N. "Icky" Isaman
Salamanca, NY Ronald N. "Icky" Isaman of 53 Eagle Street passed away Thursday (September 12, 2013) at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Buffalo, surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 23, 1937 in Hinsdale he was the son of William and Bina Brown Isaman. On September 15, 1979 in Allegany he married Barbara Crocker who survives.
Mr. Isaman was a four year veteran of the US Navy having served aboard ship from 1955 to 1959. He had most recently been employed by Allegany Beverage Co. prior to his retirement.
He was a former coach for Olean Little League and had been a softball player in the Olean City League for many years. One of his favorite hobbies was refinishing furniture. He also loved and enjoyed his pet dog "Lexie".
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters Lisa Bartholomew of Deltona, FL, Tina (Stonya) Belotieff of Erie, PA, Laurie Ozzella of Allegany and Terri (Michael) Harrison of Allegany; four sons Tim (Mary) Isaman and Ron (Vickie) Isaman, both of Olean, Mike (Noreen) Boland of Erie, PA and Paul (Betty) Isaman of Knapp Creek; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers Bill (Carol) Isaman of Eldred, PA, Keith (Ginger) Isaman of Davis, OK and Paul (Lynn) Isaman of Olean; three sisters Etta Firkle of Bolivar, Donna Mallery of Bradford, PA and Sue Isaman of Olean and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 sisters Kate Blackman and June Maine.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral and committal services will be held Tuesday (September 17, 2013) at 1:30pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery Veteran's Field of Honor. Full military honors will be provided by the Allegany American Legion ritual team.
