June Rita Wilber Olean, NY June Rita Wilber of Eden Heights, a former longtime Cuba resident, died Thursday (January 23, 2003) in the Olean General Hospital. Born June 3, 1913 in Cuba she was the daughter of Glenn !LeRoy Warner and Bertha Davidson Warner Ellsworth. On November 5, 1933 in Olean she married Leroy E. Wilber who predeceased her May 16, 1989. Mrs. Wilber resided for many years in Cuba, having graduated from Cuba High School and later worked for Chamberlain’s 5 & 10 Store. She also worked for the Red & White grocery store in Cuba until she and her husband purchased the former Cadytown Store, operating that in North Cuba for many years. In 1969 she and her husband retired to New Port Richey, Fl where they lived for 20 years. After her husband’s death she moved nearer to her sister in Hinsdale, then to Eden Heights in October of 2000. Surviving are 1 sister Ann W. (Eldon) Fisher of Hinsdale; 2 brothers Harold (Evelyn) Warner of Salamanca and Jerold (Ethlyn) Warner of Cuba and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a loving step-mother Margaret Bowen Warner; two sisters Irene Warner in 1924 and Rose Warner Greiner in 1984. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. in Olean on Saturday (January 25, 2003) from 2-4 & 7-8pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Paul Cauvel, minister of visitation at Christ United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
