Obituary of Marian Bradley

Allegany, NY-- Marian Loskey Bradley of 3869 S. Nine Mile Rd. died Sunday (April 21, 2013) at the Olean General Hospital after a short illness.
Born June 1, 1919 in Portville, NY she was the daughter of Charles and Tekla Maggi Loskey. On June 11, 1962 she married Hugh E. Bradley, Jr. who passed away February 5, 1990.
Mrs. Bradley was a graduate of Olean High School and prior to her marriage had worked for 19 years as an office clerk for the former F. C. Thomas Store (Market Basket Stores) prior to her retirement. At age seventy two she returned to work for twelve years as a part time employee for the Service Store Park and Shop in Allegany.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean and its Altar and Rosary Society and was a greeter, altar server and volunteered for many years at the Church Festival.
Surviving are her niece and caregiver Mary Ann Loskey of Olean and nieces Theresa (Donald) Budzinski and Ann (Dominic) Martel, both of Olean, Rose Marie (Louis) DiSorbo of Cuba, Elizabeth (Joseph) Hyland of Pflugerville, TX and Mary (David) Sterphone of Palm Bay, FL; a nephew Charles Loskey of Cortland, OH; many great nieces and nephews; two stepsons Dr. Hugh E. (Carolyn) Bradley, III of Fairfield, CA and Dr. William Bradley, Sr. of Elton, FL; ten step grandchildren and many step great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a sister Rose Loskey Brown; four brothers Frank Loskey, John Loskey, Stanley Loskey and Michael Loskey; one niece Frances Loskey Wheeler; one nephew Joseph Loskey and one great niece Kathleen Wheeler Skipworth.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday (April 25, 2013) beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the principal celebrant assisted on the altar by Rev. David Tourville and Rev. Ed Sheedy. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Capital Campaign Fund.
