Obituary of Edward Booth

Allegany- Edward M. Booth, Jr. formerly of 2549 Five Mile Road, passed away Thursday (February 14, 2013) at the Pines of Machias, after a long illness.
Born January 22, 1929 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Edward M. and Lulu Reddish Booth, Sr.
On November 16, 1957 in Eldred, PA, he married Glenna Collette, who predeceased him March 15, 2011.
Mr. Booth was a graduate of Allegany High School. He was enlisted in the United States Navy from October 1948 until September 1952. For over 35 years, he was employed as a welder at the former Acme Electric in Allegany.
Since 1955, he was a member of the Mason's Lodge # 833 now the Enchantment Mountain Lodge #0252, serving as Past Master in 1975. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Sabres.
Surviving are two daughters Rebecca (Stephen) Schnorr of Marshall, MI, Cindy (John) Moshier of Allegany; one granddaughter Madeline Schnorr; one sister Judy Wilson of Oneonta, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by one sister Betty Lou Yonker and one brother William Booth.
Burial will take place at the Allegany Cemetery and will be at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will take place at a later date and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
