Eric Earl Wilber
Allegany, NY Eric Earl Wilber of 4520 Five Mile Road died unexpectedly at home Wednesday (January 16, 2013).
Born May 10, 1980 in Olean he was the son of Earl L. Wilber and Suzanne J. Stuckey Wilber.
Eric attended Hinsdale Central School and completed a welding degree from BOCES. He had an interest in doing many types of building jobs and was a self employed carpenter in the construction business.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved to cook. He was especially talented at horticulture where he was an avid grower of flowers and vegetables which he provided to local restaurants and at a roadside stand.
Surviving are his mother Suzanne (James Boysha, Jr.) of Hinsdale; his father Earl (Eleanor Weatherley) Wilber of Allegany; two daughters Sierra R. Wilber and Erica S. Wilber, both of Salamanca; two sisters Tressa L. (Wittnes) Smith of Attica and Tracy M. (Gilbert) Lentz of Allegany; two brothers Nicholas E. (Bobbi Seaver) of Hinsdale and Sgt. Troy L. (Janine) Wilber, serving with the US Army in Hawaii; a maternal grandmother Joyce L. Stuckey of Portville; a paternal grandmother Patricia (Bob) Michael of Cowlesville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and lots of friends.
He was predeceased by a maternal grandfather Herman Stuckey and a paternal grandfather Clarence Wilber.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (January 19, 2013) from 3pm until 5pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Richard "Buck" Young will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
