Obituary of Susan Yehl

Susan J. Yehl Allegany, NY Susan J. Yehl of 3293 N. 7th St. passed away Tuesday (October 16, 2012) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean surrounded by her loving family. Born July 15, 1951 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Henry C. and Jean Zawolik Jawor. On May 25, 1974 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Richard M. Yehl who survives. Mrs. Yehl was a graduate of Kenmore East High School and received her RN degree from Millard Fillmore Hospital Nursing Program in 1972. She began her career at Olean General Hospital and later at St. Francis Hospital. For nineteen years she was employed by the St. Bonaventure University Health Services. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and she loved her home, her family, cooking and reading. She especially loved keeping a flower garden. Surviving besides her husband are her mother of Tonawanda; two daughters Sara Jeanne Yehl of Warren, PA and Gretchen (Adam) Satterfield of Hinsdale; one brother Thomas (Debra) Jawor of Knoxville, TN; one sister Nancy Jawor of Tonawanda; two nieces, one nephew and many loving cousins. She was predeceased by her father. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 4-7pm. A prayer service will be held Saturday (October 20, 2012) at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Friends of The Pines 2245 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
