Obituary of Richard Lockwood

Hinsdale - Richard N. Lockwood of 3537 Faye Hollow Road in Hinsdale, passed away Wednesday (October 10, 2012) at his home.
Born January 7, 1960 in Olean, he was the son of Rodney and Nancy Quick Lockwood.
Mr. Lockwood was a graduate of Hinsdale Central School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1978-1982. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are one brother Wade Lockwood of Cartersville, GA; one sister Beth Lockwood of Hinsdale; one niece Victoria Geuder; two nephews Kyle Lockwood, Philip Lockwood; and several aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Stephen T. "Spock" Lockwood in 2009.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday (October 20, 2012) at 11am at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olean. Rev. Barry Allaire will officiate. Members of The Allegany American Legion Ritual Team will accord full military honors at the grave.
Memorials if desired may be made to the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department 3832 Main Street, Hinsdale NY 14743.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
