Jean M. Morton Salamanca, NY Jean M. Morton of 94 Murray Avenue died Friday (June 21, 2012) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born September 29, 1930 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of Robert and Marie Warwick Wilson. On February 13, 1954 at People's Methodist Church in Salamanca she married Calvin "Bud" Morton who survives. Mrs. Morton was a graduate of Salamanca High School and first worked for the Harvey and Carey Drug Store. She was then employed as a sales clerk for Betty Lou's Dress Shop, then Louise's Dress Shop and later Bradner's Department Store, all in Salamanca. She retired after working for Mongillo Jeweler's, Inc. in Salamanca. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters Linda Morton of Connecticut, Marsha Morton of Salamanca and Susan Morton of Texas; three grandchildren Billy Abrams, Louis Casiano and Nick Casiano; one sister Joyce Kalamanca of Salamanca; one brother Ronald Wilson of Hilton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Thomas Wilson. At Mrs. Morton's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the SPCA 2944 Olean Hinsdale Rd. Olean, NY 14760. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
