Sarah Potter
Olean, NY Sarah Potter of 826 Tracy St. passed away peacefully Saturday (May 12, 2012) in her home with her loving family by her side.
Born October 29, 1949 in Grenada she was the daughter of Edmund and Anilet Samuel Pysadee. On November 25, 1984 in Houston, TX she married Robert R. Potter who survives.
Mrs. Potter was raised and schooled in Trinidad where she also worked as a secretary for a medical doctor in San Fernando. She moved to the United States in 1981 and was employed by Valu Home Center in Bradford, PA. More recently she worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart in Olean until her illness worsened two years ago.
Her faith was the center of her life and she was a dedicated member of the Living Waters Church family. Her hospitable, kind and generous nature was an inspiration to all around her and her family and friends remember with affection her excellent cooking and baking and her love of shopping.
Surviving are her family whom she loved as much as life itself; her husband Bob and her mother Anilet of Olean; three brothers Richard (Amy) Samuel of Olean and Reynold Pysadee and Kenneth Pysadee, both of Trinidad; four sisters Claudette Tom of Olean, Linda Pysadee and Joycelyn Pysadee, both of Bradford, PA and Carmen (Leo) Marchan of Trinidad; several nieces and nephews, a cousin Bernard (Sandra) Awong of Canada and close friends Donna and Dave Paone of Olean.
In addition to her father she was predeceased by a brother Roland Samuel and a stepsister Diane Pooran.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (May 15, 2012) at noon in The Living Waters Church, 3036 W. State St. Olean. Rev. Michael Nolder, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
