Clara M. Simpson
Allegany, NY-- Clara M. Simpson of 3360 North Seventh Street died Sunday (February 12, 2012) in her home.
Born January 1, 1921 in Salamanca she was the daughter of John and Victoria Cole Pincoski. On January 1, 1942 in Salamanca she married Donald S. Simpson who predeceased her April 10, 1995.
Mrs. Simpson was a graduate of Salamanca High School and had resided in Allegany most of her life. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America and the Sixty Plus Club of Allegany. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting but lovingly devoted most of her time to her family.
Surviving are three sons David Simpson of Olean, Jeffery (Suzanne) Simpson of Rush and James (Debra) Simpson of Allegany; one daughter Elizabeth (Jerry) Crisafulli of Longmont, CO; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son John Simpson and two sisters Jean Banton and Leona Anderson.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday (February 16, 2012) at 7:00pm in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bonaventure Church or to the Allegany Fire Department.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
