Obituary of Jessie A. Dornow

JESSIE A. DORNOW LOXLEY, AL - Jessie A. Dornow of Loxley, AL and formerly of Olean died Tuesday November 25, 2003 at Robertsdale Healthcare, Robertsdale, AL. Born in Lee Center, NY on July 4, 1920 she was the daughter of Frank and Emma Fieley Allison. She was married to Leslie L. Parker who predeceased her. On January 25, 1986 she married Edwin A. Dornow who survives. Mrs. Dornow taught piano lessons for many years and she and her husband Leslie owned and operated the Broaster Restaurant in Olean. They also owned and operated a grocery store in Genesee, PA for many years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Allegany American Legion, Charles Harbel Post #892 auxiliary In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Cynthia R. (Patrick) Kennedy of Obi, NY; a son Allison G. (Marcia) Parker of Wilson, NC; two step daughters Elizabeth L. (Rev. William) Willson of Scio, NY and Dona (Bruce) Lauser of Loxley, AL; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Martha Nayman. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Thursday November 27, 2003 from 7-9 PM and on Friday November 28, 2003 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Gerald Piper, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in !McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, PA. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
