Obituary of Thomas Magee

Olean-- Thomas S. Magee Sr., formerly of Gargoyle Road, passed away Saturday (July 2, 2011) at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.
Born August 23, 1923 in Olean, he was the son of Clyde Rand and Florence Magee. On March 3, 1946 in Nile, he married Arlouine Canfield, who survives.
Mr. Magee attended the Olean City Schools. He worked for National Munitions, Olean Wholesale and later for Key Stone Linen, until his retirement in 1986.
He was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Olean and in his free time enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving besides his wife is one son John (Nancy) Magee Sr., of Olean; one sister Nancy D. Magee of Olean; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mom Florence Orcutt; a son Thomas S. Magee, Jr.; and one brother Charles Magee.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road on Wednesday (July 6, 2011) from 12-2pm at which time funeral services will begin. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery in Olean.
