Obituary of Elliott Robinson

Riverhead- Elliott H. Robinson, age 96, formerly of Riverhead NY, passed away Sunday June 26, 2011 at his daughter's home in Allegany, NY.
Born May 26, 1915 in Mattituck, NY, he was the son of Oscar and Caroline Goldsmith Robinson. He married the former Florence Pugsley, who predeceased him.
He was a lifelong farmer and farm equipment mechanic. He was employed for several years on the family farm in Mattituck, later he went to work for the Warner Farm in Riverhead, Hulse Peach Orchard and finished his working years at Tryac Truck and Equipment, retiring at the age of 69.
Mr. Robinson was a member of the Roanoke Lodge No. 462 Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Vertias Rebekah Lodge No. 167.
Surviving is a daughter Diane Voegelin of Allegany; 1 granddaughter Kerry Voegelin of Blakeslee, PA; 1 grandson Mark Voegelin of Allegany; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was predeceased by a daughter Caroline Fischer; 2 brothers George and John; 1 sister Eunice Butterworth; and 1 grandson Michael Voegelin.
Memorial service and interment in the Riverhead Cemetery will be held at a later date.
