Obituary of Teresa Questa

Olean-- Teresa "Tess" Questa, of 1887 Castle Drive, passed away Thursday (April 21, 2011) at the Olean General Hospital. Born June 15, 1927 in Olean, she was the third child of Luigi and Maria Vagnoni Augostini. On November 6, 1954 at St. John's Church in Olean she married Raymond, who predeceased her November 22, 2010. Mrs. Questa was a graduate of Olean High School and had been employed as a waitress for the former L'Alcove and Castle Restaurants. She was a dedicated member of St. Bonaventure Parish where she was a daily communicant and loyal supporter of BonaFest. She also was a past member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Tess enjoyed baking and cooking especially during the holidays. Surviving are her three sons Angelo (Nancy) Questa of Boonton, NJ, Daniel Questa of Rochester, Joseph (Barbara) Questa of Allegany; four grandchildren Anthony Questa, Nicholas Questa, Santana Questa and Michael Questa; eight brothers and sisters Rose Orsini of Olean, Josephine (Randall)Jordan of Acampo, CA, Robert (Jane) Augostini of Redlands, CA, Louis (Dolores) Augostini of Johnson city, Marion (Robert) Gentile of Boonton, NJ, William (Joyce) Augostini of Allegany, Carl (Roberta) Augostini of Anna Maria, FL and Peter (Marie) Augostini of Arlington, TX; a special cousin John Augostini of Olean and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a brother Nicholas Augostini and a sister Laura Cory. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. No visitation will be observed Easter Sunday. Funeral services will be held on Monday 25, 2011)beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Bonaventure Parish, The Allegany Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity of a donors choice.
