Obituary of Thomas Louser

Thomas G. &amp;quot;Henry&amp;quot; Louser Allegany, NY Thomas G. "Henry" Louser of 3957 W. Branch Rd. died Monday (April 18, 2011) in the Olean General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born September 17, 1936 in Olean, NY he was the son of George and Alice Spindler Louser. On August 22, 1975 in Allegany he married Joyce Nuthall who survives. Mr. Louser was a 1954 graduate of Allegany High School where he lettered in basketball and had served with the US Navy from 1955 to 1959. He had been employed for several years for Stayer Ready Mix Concrete Co. in Allegany and later as a self employed logger, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and also the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892. He was a former member of the Allegany School Sports Boosters Club and also served as a former Allegany School Board member. He had been a longtime volunteer for the Olean General Hospital. Mr. Louser enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, working on oil leases and gardening. He also enjoyed playing cards and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife are six children Brian Louser of Shinglehouse, PA, Thomas (Lori) Louser of Shinglehouse, PA, Donald Louser of Eldred, PA, Francie (Glenn) Drake of Shinglehouse, PA, Thomas Frungillo of Olean and Karen (Bob) Frungillo Barton of Allegany; fourteen grandchildren; one sister Catherine Putt of Allegany; one brother Kenneth (Mary) Louser of Allegany, several nieces and nephews, and Bjorn Rentzhog, a former Swedish Exchange Student whom he loved as part of his family. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean Tuesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (April 20, 2011) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olean General Hospital. <h3>Visitation</h3> Tuesday April 19, 2011 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM <h3>Services</h3> Wednesday 9:30 AM Prayer Service in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 AM at St. Bonaventure Church. <h3>Interment</h3> St. Bonaventure Cemetery following mass.
