Olean-- L.C. Brown of 350 Front Street, passed away Saturday (March 26, 2011) at his step-daughters home in Olean after a brief illness.
Born March 30, 1930 in San Angelo, TX he was the son of Lonnie and Cora Marshall Brown. He married Esther Witaker who predeceased him.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1948-1958. He was employed for Dresser Rand in Olean and later was self employed.
He was an avid bowler and member of the St. Christopher Columbus Club in Olean.
Surviving are 3 daughters, 1 son, 5 step-daughters; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Mr. Brown's request there will be no services. Donations if desired may be made to HomeCare and Hospice, 1225 W. State Street, Olean.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
