Obituary of Joan Disorbo

Joan L. Disorbo Olean, NY Joan L. Disorbo, formerly of 135 N. 18th St., recently cared for at the home of her daughter in Allegany, passed away Tuesday (March 22, 2011) in The Absolut at Salamanca. Born August 29, 1932 in Franklin, PA she was the daughter of Harold and Pauline Zeiblo deNoyelles. On January 7, 1952 in Georgia she married Angelo V. Disorbo who predeceased her October 5, 1994. Mrs. Disorbo was a resident of Olean most of her life and had worked for the former W. T. Grant Co. and the former D &amp; K Store, both in Olean. She later worked as a lab assistant in the Biology Department at St. Bonaventure University, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed being a mother and a homemaker as well as playing bingo and visiting the slot machines at the Seneca Allegany Casino. Surviving are one son Michael (Cindy) Disorbo of Olean; one daughter Jan (William) Pearsall of Allegany; six grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister Paulette Kirshner of Jeffersonville, IN; two brothers-in-law Joseph Augustyn and James Kellogg; one sister-in-law Mary Riehle and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sisters-in-law Linda Augustyn and Patricia Kellogg and one brother-in-law Clinton Riehle. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday (March 25, 2011) at 10:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Susan B.
