Cecelia V. Davis
Olean, NY-- Cecelia V. Davis formerly of 230 North 24th Street Olean, passed away Tuesday (February 1, 2011) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a long illness.
Born February 22, 1921in Olean, she was the daughter of Frank and Victoria Kulkulka Wojcik. She married Raymond J. Davis, who predeceased her November 7, 1966.
Mrs. Davis was employed for the City of Olean and later St. Bonaventure University. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons Francis (Hillary) Wojcik of Concord, CA, Michael (Jill) Davis of Fort Lauderdale FL; four daughters Mary Vesotski of Olean, Roxanne Burgess of Eldred, PA, Marcie (Jeff) Wallen of Allegany, Reenie (Joey) Batesky of Allegany; one son in law Albert Berical; 25 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by 2 sons Gerald Davis and Joseph Davis; 1 daughter Patricia Berical; 3 sisters Helen Stavish, Rose Tumidanski, Martha Padlo; 4 brothers Adolph Ukasinski, Albert Ukasinski, John Ukasinski, Walter Wojcik; 1 grandson David Berical; a special friend Donald Osborne; and 2 sons in law Robert Vesotski and Louis Burgess.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (February 5, 2011) beginning with a 10:30am prayer service at the funeral home, followed by a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials if desired may be made to HomeCare and Hospice 1225 W. State Street, Olean.
