Obituary of Elizabeth Cucchiaro

Elizabeth I. "Betty" Cucchiaro Olean, NY Elizabeth I. "Betty" Cucchiaro, of Olean, died Thursday (December 9, 2010) in The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born September 3, 1924 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Salvatore and Josephine Minicci Cucchiaro. Miss Cucchiaro was a lifelong resident of Olean and had formerly been employed as a secretary at St. Bonaventure University and later as a switchboard operator at Olean General Hospital. She was a member of St. John's Church and she enjoyed cooking. Surviving are three sisters Vida Miller of Salamanca, Marie Walsh of Lincoln, CA and Josephine Bell of Punta Gorda, FL; one brother Robert "Pete" (Kathleen) Cucchiaro of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Andrew Cucchiaro, Joseph Cucchiaro and Salvatore Cucchiaro. A prayer service will be held today (Saturday December 11, 2010) at 1:00pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Edward Sheedy, pastor of St. John's Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's Church or to Friends of The Pines 2245 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
