Samantha Lynn "Sammy" Lycett
Limestone, NY Samantha Lynn Lycett of 508 Main St. died peacefully Monday (December 6, 2010) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
Samantha was born May 4, 1989 in Olean, NY and is the daughter of Michelle Miller Lycett and of Thomas Lycett. Since the time she was a baby she was raised and cared for by her mother and also by her "dad" Randy Will.
Sammy's uplifting qualities and beautiful smile made her a precious child who was loved very much by everyone and she will be missed very much.
Surviving besides her mother and her "dad" Randy of Limestone are one sister Elizabeth Lycett at home; 2 half brothers Derrik Vaughn and Thomas Lycett of Olean; one half sister Mary Lycett of Olean; one step brother Cody Will and one step sister Alysia Will, both at home; maternal grandfather Jerry (Bonnie) Miller of Allegany; maternal grandmother Carol (Richard) Brown of Salamanca; paternal grandparents Robert and Patricia Lycett of Carrollton; Randy's father Perry "Old Smoker" Will of Springville and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Though not her family, Sammy leaves a very dear nurse Betty St.Clair of Limestone and many other nurses and doctors from Bradford who helped care for Sammy for so many years.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday (December 10, 2010) from noon until 1:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm in the funeral home with Robert Smith of Machias to officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department or to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation 2356 N. Forest Rd. Getzville, NY 14068 would be appreciated by the family.
