Bolivar " Richard E. "Dick" Wolfgang, of 7938 Rte 417, Bolivar, passed away unexpectedly Friday (November 5, 2010) shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. Born May 24, 1938 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Forrest C. and Clare Bailey Wolfgang. In 1985, he met his loving companion Margaret "Margie" Giblin, who survives. Mr. Wolfgang was a lifelong resident of Bolivar and a graduate of Bolivar High School. He was first employed at Bolivar Magneto and later went to work for Friendship Dairy, retiring after 25 years of service. Dick enjoyed working on motorcycles and go-karts. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and authentic beer steins, but most of all loved spending time with his family. Surviving besides Margie, are 3 sons Michael Wolfgang of Bolivar, Bryant (Sue Ueblhear) Giblin of Bolivar, Matthew (Patty) Giblin of Springfield, VA; 3 daughters Tammy Polen of Florida, Lori (Steve) Mayes of California, Becky (Atiba) Romeo of Florida; 2 brothers David Wolfgang of Olean, Robert Glen "Pete" Wolfgang of Bath; 1 sister Barbara (Carl) Taylor of Little Genesee; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 1 sister Jacqueline Byroads. Friends will be received at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., 554 S. Main Street, Bolivar on Monday from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (November 9, 2010) at 11am at the funeral home. Rev. David Herne, pastor of Heritage Aflame ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Bolivar. Memorials if desired may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. <h3>Visitation</h3> Monday November 8, 2010 4-7pm <h3>Services</h3> Tuesday November 9, 2010 11 am <h3>Interment</h3> Maple Lawn Cemetery
