PAUL R. CLANCY "Loving Husband, Father & Friend" CUBA - Paul R. Clancy of Wolf Run Rd., Cuba died Saturday March 29, 2003 at his residence. Born in Salamanca, NY on November 4, 1946 he was a son of Joseph and Ruth Bailey Clancy. On April 13, 1973 in Allegany he married Cindy L. Kent who survives. Mr. Clancy served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Purple Heart. He was employed for 30 years for Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services, retiring in 2000. Paul was a member of the Ellicottville American Legion, post 659. He was a Cub Scout leader and coached little league for many years. He enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas. He loved spending time with his family and his friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jason Clancy of Fredonia, NY and Jeff Clancy of Ellicottville, NY; a brother Gary (Barbara) Clancy of Allegany, a step-brother Donald (Caroline) Clancy of Sherman, NY; two step sisters Colleen Green of North Tonawanda and Marilyn (Walter) Hartman of Niagara Falls, NY; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents. Friends will be received on Sunday March 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean where funeral and committal services will be held on Monday March 31, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Anthony Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice, 1225 West State Street, Olean, NY 14760 or to Joyful Rescues, Turock Rd., Cuba, NY 14727.
