Our sympathy to you all from the Bubbs family. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the memorial but I have a Cemetery Association meet- ing. I go way back to Boardmanville and the Eaton family. Dick and I were pals for a long time and he will be missed. Gary Rathbun and I attended magistrate's training together. Dick had a long and talented life and touched so many other peoples lives. He would always tell me what a good time he had at my 8th birthday party - in 1945!! You have our blessings. Bob Bubbs

I was acquainted with Mr. Eaton through my business here in Olean, New York (Copy Connection) I did several flyers and printing jobs for him for the Richard J. Eaton Foundation that he created and I am proud to say that I was part of the ground floor of the project. Mr. Eaton was an amazing man and always a pleasure to work with. I am willing to continue to help you in any way possible to see his dream come true for a cure for this dreaded disease. My deepest sympathy! Penny VanCamp, Owner of Copy Connection in Olean, NY

What a special blessing it was for Dick to enter my life back at the U of R in 1956. Being a teammate and friend he mentored me into the realm of college football. In much later years, he brought the "Spiders of long ago" back together to revisit those special years. In my minda nd heart I have accompanied him in his struggle for the past few years, and even now have remembered him, while in my quiet time downing a "cool one". Medical appoints will prevent me from joining other U of R alum for the memorial service, but I most certainly be there in spirit. We were all lucky to have him as a friend. My thoughts and prayers are for you all.
